What are your operating hours?
Our service is very flexible; we can tan early morning, during the day, early evening or late at night. Send an email or call about specific dates and times.

How does a spray tan work?
The ingredient that tans your skin is dihydroxyacetone (DHA), a colourless sugar that interacts with dead skin cells to create the tanned colour. The DHA causes a chemical reaction with the proteins in the outer most layers of the skin, which causes the colour of the skin to change, producing a beautiful natural tan. A spray tan does not dye the skin; the immediate colour you see when your tan is applied is a colour guide or bronzer that helps the technician not miss any sections and allows you to instantly see your tan. The DHA starts to react with the skin and continues to do so for a total of 8 hours. A spray gun is used to spray a combination of air and tanning solution directly onto the skin, which dries almost immediately. In less than 15 minutes you can have a flawless tan that will develop over the next 8 hours.

Will a spray tan cause freckles in people who usually freckle when tanning?
No. There is nothing in the tanning solution that will cause more freckles to break out. In fact, in most cases, freckles and blemishes will become less pronounced because the lighter skin areas will darken and reduce the colour differentiation between the blemishes and the rest of the skin.

How does a Bronz Oz Unisex Spray Tanning Appointment work?
For your first appointment you should allow around 30 minutes, this allows us to answer any questions you may have. Your tanning technician will bring to your house the solution, along with the spraying machine and a pop up booth. The booth can be placed in any room you desire as long as there is access to a power point. Then your tanning solution will be applied to the body in 10 to 15 minutes. Finally you will be dried off with a warm air setting and you can get dressed when you are ready.

How long does a Spray Tan last?
Every body is a little different; if you are careful and look after your tan you should get 7 days out of a fake tan. Your body will always naturally exfoliate causing the tan to fade away. When it becomes patchy simply exfoliate and you will be ready for a new spray tan.

My skin never tans! Will a spray tan work on my skin?
Yes it will defiantly work on your skin! On very fair skin we will apply a very light spray if you are concerned about going to dark or getting an orange hue.

How do I prepare for a Spray Tan session?
For the maximum result, before your session, shower and exfoliate the skin. Make sure your skin is free of perfumes, lotions, oils, deodorants, gels or any product on the skin that would create a barrier or cause the tan to develop unevenly and remove all jewellery.

What should I wear?
You may wear as little as you like or a full bathing suit. Most people wear just a G-String but this is a personal choice. It is recommended that you wear light loose clothing after being sprayed as full development of your tan will take 8 hours and any undue friction from tight clothing may affect the final result.

How long should I wait after a tanning session before showering?
To give your spray tan enough time to fully develop, it is recommended waiting a minimum of 8 hours after tanning (unless otherwise instructed). Showering sooner may diminish the intensity of the tan.

Does it wash off?
No! Remember that the organic colour is for application. The unique Dhydroxyacetone (DHA) is what creates your tan. Just like a tan from the sun. Note DHA is not permanent, so it will fade as any suntan will. Which is why we recommend a weekly top up.

Will swimming affect my spray tan?
Swimming in chlorinated water or salt water will fade you tan and can cause possible streaking. When swimming try to only go for short dips and rinse off in fresh water afterwards.

Are there any harmful effects with the product?
Dermatologists will enthusiastically agree that tanning with a DHA formula is much safer than tanning for prolonged hours in the sun. Our products are organically based to ensure a safe tan and promote healthy skin from head to toe.

Is it OK to use a spray tan during pregnancy?
There are no tests showing that spray tanning during pregnancy is harmful. The ingredient in the tanning solution that gives you your tan is DHA and this is made from sugar cane, and has no known problems. If you are pregnant and wanting a spray tan, you should opt for a product that has a low odour. If you are unsure you should consult your doctor.

Can I breast feed and get a spray tan?
If you are breast feeding than I would suggest to you that you leave your bra on while getting a spray tan. Although the solution is made from natural products I would not recommend you getting your breasts sprayed.

Should I shave or wax before or after I get my spray tan?
Whether you shave or wax is completely up to you, both should be done at least 24 hours prior to the application of the tan, Shaving after the application will take off some of your tan, so shave only when necessary and ensure that your blade is sharp.

Will the spray tan stain my clothing or other items?
No! Since organic colour pigment is not a stain or dye, it will not permanently stain. Many focus testing groups found the colour could be removed more easily then make-up on collars.

Does a spray tan provide SPF protection?
Although the tanning solution will give you a natural looking tan NO PROTECTION from the sun's harmful rays is offered. You should still use protection during exposure to the sun.
